Ingredients:
2 cups heavy whipping cream
2 tbsp confectioner’s sugar- if you don’t have confectioner’s sugar, regular granulated sugar will work just fine!
This is a basic 1:1 ratio recipe. If you like your whipped cream on the sweeter side (like me!) then you will need a bit more sugar.
Directions: pour the cold whipping cream into a cold bowl from the freezer (if you don’t have time to do this it’s ok) then start your mixer on a low speed. Once the cream starts to thicken, about 2 minutes, add the sugar.
Turn the mixer to the next highest speed and then gradually increase the speed as the cream gets thicker; then stop to taste for sweetness. When stiff peaks form (meaning peaks can stand on their own and not fall over) then it is done. Enjoy!!!
Tips: you can add different extracts and liqueurs to this as well for fun flavors. Vanilla, lemon, peppermint, mint, rum flavor.
Bourbon, hazelnut, dark rum, kahlua.
