Fresh and Simple Guacamole Recipe

INGREDIENTS

3 Avocados - halved, seeded and peeled

1 lime - juiced

Kosher salt to taste

¾ teaspoon cumin

½ teaspoon cayenne - you can leave this out if you don’t want any heat

½ medium purple onion - chopped

½ jalapeño pepper - seeded and diced (removing the seeds lessens the heat)

2 roma tomatoes - seeded and diced

1 tablespoon chopped cilantro

1 teaspoon garlic paste

DIRECTIONS: Once you have halved and seeded the avocados, use your knife to make cuts in the pulp until you have squares. Then use a spoon to scoop it out into a large bowl and toss with 1 tablespoon of the lime juice. This will keep your guacamole from turning brown!

Then add in ½ teaspoon salt, the cumin, cayenne and mash with a potato masher or fork until it is as chunky or smooth as you like it!! Then fold in the onions, jalapeños, tomatoes, cilantro, and garlic. Taste - add more lime juice, salt, cumin, cilantro or any of the other ingredients until it makes your taste buds happy!

Let it sit at room temperature until ready to serve. The flavors will come together as it sits. Enjoy!!
